Made from Paulownia timber. The use of Paulownia timber is a master stroke in surfboard manufacture as it is a renewable species with minimal harm to the environment.
Paulownia is one of the fastest growing trees in the world, with a higher strength-to-weight ratio than balsa wood.
It is not prone to rot either, making it perfect for surfboards and boat building.
Each foil is manufactured from layers of Paulownia veneer bonded with high strength waterproof adhesive.
By using the left over materials from local surfboard manufacturers we can curb waste and use materials that would otherwise be destined for landfill. Mother Earth will be pleased!
